This website is the outgrowth of a short treatise prepared by Jane Coleman in 2005 for Brian Brokate of Gibney, Anthony & Flaherty, whose support she gratefully acknowledges. This updated online version of that treatise is intended to be interactive, with blog-style comment space provided to readers on each topic.<\/p>\n
Jane Coleman graduated from Stanford Law School and The Johns Hopkins University (with departmental honors) and was an associate at New York’s Kronish Lieb Weiner & Hellman LLP. She went on to serve as Assistant Director of Legal Affairs for the national office of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in New York where she advised ADL\u2019s regional offices on a variety of civil rights and constitutional law matters.\u00a0 She is the author of the ADL booklet \u201cCombating Bigotry on Campus\u201d (1989) and the editor of the 1988 ADL Litigation Docket. She is admitted to practice in New York.<\/p>\n
Most of Jane\u2019s career was spent as a legal writer and editor for Matthew Bender and New Jersey\u2019s Gann Law Books, where she edited and wrote on the topics of New York and New Jersey civil practice, New Jersey estate taxation, and New Jersey claims against public entities.
